TCS NQT 2026 Structure
The NQT has two parts:

The coding section runs in TCS's browser-based compiler. You can code in C, C++, Java, or Python.
For Ninja Track: Master these patterns (easy difficulty):

For Digital/Prime Track: Add these:

Four weeks is enough time to move a track if you use it deliberately.
Start week one by taking one full mock NQT before touching any prep material. The score doesn't matter: you need to know which sections are bleeding points, because arithmetic and verbal together carry more weight than most candidates realise. Spend 1.5 hours a day on numerical fundamentals (percentages, ratios, time-work problems) and 30 minutes on verbal, ideally reading business articles rather than doing grammar drills in isolation.
Week two shifts to reasoning and coding. Logical reasoning patterns reward repetition more than understanding: 1 hour daily on series completion, syllogisms, and data sufficiency builds the pattern recognition you need. For coding, two easy problems a day on HackerRank or LeetCode is enough; the NQT coding section is not where Prime-track candidates are separated. Take a full mock test on Day 14 before moving on.
Week three is about speed. By now you know which question types you're slow on. Run timed drills: 30 numerical questions in 25 minutes, repeatedly, until the mental arithmetic stops feeling like work. Coding moves up to one medium problem plus one easy per day. Look at your mock results and work on the question types you're most likely to blank on, not the ones you find most interesting.
Week four is simulation. Three full 3-hour NQT mock tests, spaced out so you can review before the next one. Check every wrong answer: not just whether you got it wrong, but why the reasoning broke down. In parallel, practice five basic HR questions out loud daily. TCS HR is not deep, but fumbling "Tell me about yourself" after a strong NQT score is a waste.
